Spring Engagement Session | Tom Patterson Island | Stratford, Ontario

There’s something incredibly meaningful about choosing the exact place where your story began for your engagement photos. For Kayla and Micah, that place was Tom Patterson Island — the same beautiful spot where Micah proposed. Returning to the island for their session made the evening feel even more personal and nostalgic, with every corner holding a special memory for them.

Nestled along the water in the heart of Stratford, Tom Patterson Island is such a picturesque location for engagement photos. Between the peaceful walking paths, mature trees, and scenic river views, the island offers the perfect blend of nature and romance. As the evening light filtered through the trees, it created the dreamiest atmosphere for capturing candid moments together.

Just beyond the island, we also explored a nearby open field that absolutely glowed during sunset. The tall grass, soft golden light, and wide-open skies gave their session such a warm and timeless feel. It was the perfect way to end the evening — quiet, romantic, and full of that magical golden-hour light that makes summer engagement sessions so special.
