Where I love to photograph at Langdon Hall
Every time I photograph a wedding here, I start with the main house. The historic facade, the long front lawn and the stone steps make a timeless setting for portraits of the two of you and your wedding party, and they look just as elegant in black and white as they do in colour. From there we wander into the gardens. The manicured beds, hedges and pathways give us quiet, private corners for candid moments, and the wooded trails at the edge of the property are where the light turns soft and golden later in the day. Those trails are one of my favourite places for a few minutes alone together between the ceremony and the reception. Inside, the house has the same old-world feel: warm rooms, tall windows and beautiful details that make getting-ready photos and reception details feel effortless.
Planning your Langdon Hall wedding day
A few things I share with every Langdon Hall couple:
- Leave time for the grounds. The property is large, so I build a little extra time into your timeline for portraits in the gardens and on the trails.
- Plan around the evening light. The hour before sunset is the most romantic time on the estate. If we can step out for ten minutes during the reception, it’s always worth it.
- Think about weather early. Langdon Hall has beautiful indoor spaces, so a rainy day still gives us lovely, light-filled photos.
