Sharing a love for travel and hiking, David and Ramona had an engagement session that was nothing short of adventurous! And Ontario’s Guelph Lake was the perfect spot for them to do a bit of exploring and get their feet wet (no pun intended)!
Congrats to you both and I’m looking so forward to capturing your St. Jacobs wedding in a couple of weeks!
David and Ramona love to travel and hike, so an engagement session at Guelph Lake was a perfect fit. We spent the evening exploring the shoreline, the trails and the fields around the lake, and true to form, they were happy to get their feet wet.
We started by the water, where the lake was so still it reflected the sky. Ramona wore an off-the-shoulder burgundy lace dress and David a dark jacket over a white tee. Then we followed a trail to an old wooden rail fence in the trees for a few cozy, close portraits.
For the second half, Ramona changed into a black floral dress and we headed down to the rocky shore. They climbed out onto the big boulders at the water’s edge, and then, as promised, waded right into the lake. Those photos of the two of them standing in the calm water, with ripples spreading out around them, are some of my favourites.
We finished in a field of tall green grass as the sun went down, with the last light glowing between them.
