I never get tired of shooting at Huron Natural Area in Kitchener, and this warm summer evening graced us with the most beautiful golden light! There’s a sweet spot in the park for getting the perfect sunset views and it never disappoints (if you hire me maybe I’ll show you too hehe 😉 )
Congrats L+M! ✨
L and M’s session was one of those evenings where the light does all the work. We spent it wandering through the meadows, trails and ponds of Huron Natural Area, finishing right as the sun dipped behind the trees.
We started in a field of tall golden grass with the sun low behind them. L wore a fitted blue dress and M a cream knit sweater with dark jeans, simple, cozy pieces that glowed in the warm light. There were lots of hugs, a few spins and plenty of laughing, and those backlit moments are some of my favourite photos of the year.
Next we found a patch of bright yellow goldenrod, where he scooped her up, then followed a sandy trail through a tall pine forest. The quiet of the trees made a lovely change from the open meadow.
We finished at the edge of a pond dotted with lily pads, sitting together by the water and then standing at the shoreline as the trees reflected in the calm surface.
