I’m so glad Sabryna and Jamie asked me to photograph their anniversary session! It was romantic, enchanting, and just overall so fun to capture some candid moments of these two while listening to Despacito on repeat! Rolling fields near Ayr
Sabryna and Jamie’s anniversary session took us out to the rolling green fields near Ayr, just south of Cambridge, on a soft, overcast summer evening. With hills in every direction, a quiet pond and a few tall pines on the horizon, it felt like we had the whole countryside to ourselves.
A blue gown in the grass
Sabryna wore a long, flowing dusty blue gown and Jamie a white linen shirt with rolled sleeves, a simple, romantic combination that looked beautiful against all that green. We started by the edge of the pond, then wandered up into the tall grass, where the overcast sky gave everything a soft, dreamy glow.
Dancing in the field
There was a lot of dancing at this session, and not just because of the music. Jamie twirled Sabryna through the grass more than once, and every spin sent that blue gown flying. We also took a few quiet moments sitting together in the grass under the trees.
A twirl on the road
We finished on a quiet country road between the fields, with one more twirl and a kiss right on the centre line.
Tips for an anniversary session
- Celebrate every milestone. Anniversaries are a beautiful reason to get photos together.
- Wear something that moves. A long gown catches the breeze in every twirl.
- Play your song. Music makes it easy to relax, laugh and dance.
