H + A’s engagement at Waterloo Pioneers Memorial Tower Park
H and A’s engagement session at the Waterloo Pioneers Memorial Tower was all about warm summer light and big smiles. The old fieldstone tower with its wooden lookout makes such a unique backdrop, and the park around it has so many beautiful spots within a short walk.
She wore a long, flowing white halter dress and he wore a navy patterned shirt with grey pants, a simple pairing that let the setting shine. We started on a gravel path lined with green trees, with the tower peeking out behind them and the sun glowing through the leaves.
Of course we had to use the tower itself. Its stone doorway with a little green door framed them perfectly, and a few portraits on the lawn at the base show just how tall it is. One of my favourite moments was a big dip right there on the grass, with that white dress swinging out behind her.
As the sun went down, we followed a winding path through the trees, past an old stone wall and a farmhouse, and finished with a pink and peach sky glowing behind them. He lifted her up more than once, and those laughs are some of my favourite photos from the session.
